Being a very reliable alternative to the hydraulic road blockers, pneumatic road blockers are an efficient way of solution if there is a threat of vehicle attack in addition to the control of vehicle access in high security applications. As the construction is completely the same with the hydraulic rising road blockers, the strength of the construction is the same. The number of pistons used per road blocker increases due to the low pressure achieved in pneumatic systems. Besides, the piston diameters are larger when compared to hydraulic systems because of the same reason. Even though the attack is from high tonnage vehicles with high speeds, it is not possible for the vehicle to move any further. In standard, the constructive design is made to stop any vehicle with the impact load of 7.5 tons of weight, moving with 60 miles per hour; i.e. Optima designs according to K 12 standards. Drive is pneumatic, therefore in case of power failure road blocker can be lowered or lifted with the help of the pressurised air in the air storage tank. Typical raise/lower time is 3 seconds, but it is possible to design the system to raise/lower in 1.5 seconds.

Pneumatic Rising Roadblockers

Optima hydraulic rising bollards are designed for high security vehicle entrances, army, industrial, governmental and commercial buildings or streets which are closed to vehicle traffic between certain hours of the day. Both "High Security" and "Commercial" type Optima Hydraulic Rising Bollards have the same strength, whereas "Commercial" bollards are shorter than the "High Security" ones. Electromechanical barriers are designed for the controlled flow of traffic, especially for the parking places. Cabinet; including body, top lid,front lid and anchoring plate are all manufactured using A1 Quality Steel (Galvanizde+Painted+Baked). Standart color is RAL 2004 Orange. Arm is aluminum with a special cross section design. Manual Barriers

Chain barriers are designed especially for the parking lots where cars park side by side as a single row. There are two types of chain barriers, one is 8 mt (4 cars) and the other is 16 mt (8 cars). Closing longer clearances, raising/lowering faster and being much more vandal resistant are the main advantages of Optima chain barriers. Raise/lower time is approximately 7 seconds.

Motorized turnstiles are prefered in specific applications, as they bring some advantages for the users. Some of these advantages are as follows;
- they are motorized, the passing person need not use his hands (supermarket applications, etc.)
- there are no obstacles in front of the passing person (VIP entrance applications, etc.)
- arm length is longer than tripod turnstiles, therefore they are ideal as material entrance gates

M100 Series Turnstiles

V 100 SERIES turnstiles are designed for the applications where the primary concern is narrow space and most economical solution. F 100SDR Series Motorized Full Height Turnstiles are designed to operate between -150C and +550C. Control electronics utilized in the turnstile is microprocessor controlled. The time that the turnstile waits open after the reader input is 30 seconds and can be arranged in 6 steps as multiplies of 5 seconds. As a solution for the applications where there is ‘high’ flow in ‘both’ directions, the electronics has the ability to remember 10 readings with respect to the reader side and give permission respectively. Control electronics has trigger inputs, sensor inputs, alarm inputs/outputs, solenoid outputs, led way- mode indicator outputs, ‘cycle (one turn) completed’ outputs, counter outputs, battery inputs and buzzer outputs.

Turnstile can be supplied either fail-locked or fail-open; i. e. will stay locked or will freely rotate when electricity is off. Our hydraulic tyre killers are designed especially entrance points whic have threat of vehicle attack or for the ones that have high security requirements.If there is a threat of vehicle attack in addition to the control of vehide access in high security applications, hydraulic tyre killer are one of the most secure systems. Even though the attack is from high tonnage vehicles with high speeds, it's not possible for the vehicle to keep on moving more than 25-30 more meters because of the damage to, wheels and the rim of the vehicle. Drive unit is hydraulic, but in case of power failure tyre killer can be lowered or lifted manually with the help of manual hand pump. Typical raise/lower time is 3 seconds. In case of emergency, raise/lower time can be as low as 1.5 seconds. With the help of PLC controller, rais/lower function can be achieved by every kind of card readers, biometric readers like fingerprint or hand shape, radio control, on/off key switch etc. Besides, safety accessories like photocells, inductive loop detectors, flashing lights or red/green traffic lights can be integrated to the system very easily. Typical weight of a tyre killer is 1-1.5 tons (depending on tyre killer type and accessories). Oil cooler/heater is standart in all hydraulic tyre killers.

Electromechanical Tyre-Killer is one of the highest security vehicle access control systems. The Tyre-Killer provides high security for sensitive areas (banks, military bases, airports, embassies etc) against forced and unauthorized entry or exit of motor vehicles. Tyre-Killer works rapidly, teeth raises from the road surfaces in a couple of seconds so tyres of the unauthorized vehicle will definitely be destroyed immediately when the entry or escape is attempted, therefore the vehicle moves only a few more meters and is inactivated. The hardened teeth of the Tyre-Killer move all together as they are welded on the same 50x50 mm square beam. Drive unit is placed to one end of the Tyre-Killer; it stands above the ground level and is a complete assembly with the body. In this way, both smooth transmission of motion and minimum effect of external factors are achieved. Control electronics and drive unit are stored in an electrogalvanized metal control cabinet. With the help of microprocessor controlled electronics, raise/lower function can be achieved by every kind of access control devices, card readers, biometric readers like fingerprint or hand shape, radio control, on/off switch or key switch etc. Besides, safety accessories like loop detectors, photocells, flashing lights or red/green lights can be integrated to the control electronics very easily.

Electromechanical Tyre Killers

Mechanical Tyre-Killer is one of the high security vehicle access control systems. Mechanical tyre killer's each tooth works individually and lowers to the ground as the vehicle passes over with the vehicle's weight. After the vehicle's tyres pass over, the teeth raise up to its default position automatically. If an attempt to pass through the tyre killer from the opposite side is made, tyres of the unauthorized vehicle will definitely be destroyed immediately, therefore the vehicle moves only a few more meters and is inactivated. With the help of a mechanism, namely Latch Down Mechanism (optional), attached to the mechanical tyre killer, the teeth of the tyre killer is locked all together at lowered position when desired. The hardened teeth stand 10cm above the ground level normally. Teeth are attached to the same hardened steel rod. Each tooth works individually. Mechanical lowering mechanism (Latch Down Mechanism) is placed to one end of the Tyre Killer and it stands below the ground level. It is a complete assembly with the body. Consequently, both manual drive of motion for all of the teeth and minimum effect of external factors to the mechanism are achieved. Mechanical Tyre Killers

Optima SG-CT series crash tested automatic cantilever sliding gates are designed for high traffic military, commercial and industrial applications. This product is crash tested on 22 June 2016 and successfully achieved a performance classification of IWA14-1:2013 Gate V/7200(N3C)/80/90:0.0. Crash tested cantilever sliding gate height is 2.5m and the gate has 4,5m opening width. OPTIMA designs and manufactures gates up to 3m heights. There is not a standard length for cantilever gates but ga tes up to 12m have already been designed and manufactured. As the gate is cantilever, there is not a track on the road surface which slows down the traffic flow. Similarly there are no wheels under the cantilever door. All the gate is covered by galvanised sheet metal. There are adjustable mechanisms which keep the door vertical and in line. Also these adjustable mechanisms reduce noise and vibration during operation. This sophisticated design enables the complete system move smoothly and exactly vertical. Buttresses are fixed to the ground by steel anchors. Both crash tested cantilever sliding gates and the buttresses are sand blasted, primer coated and then painted to yellow with black stripes. There is a "STOP" sign in the middle of the gate.
When used with OPTIMA ESGO 4000, sliding gates with a weight up to 5000kg can be operated. With the help of the advanced electronics any type of speed control like slow start, fast linear motion and slow stop, can be achieved. This facility brings increased vehicle passing capacity without losing any degree of security.

CG seres Optima cantilever gates are designed for high traffic, military, commercial and industrial applications. Cantilever gate height is 2.4 m and the gate has 5m opening width. Optima designs and manufactures gates up to 3 m heights. There is not a standard length for cantilever gates but gates up to 12 m have already been designed and manufactured. Generally, top of the cantilever gate is serrated. Lower part of the gate is closed by 3mm thickness sheet metal which is yellow/black painted. There are polyamide rollers which keep the door vertical and in line. Also, polyamide rollers reduce noise and vibration during operation. These rollers can be adjusted horizontally to keep the sliding gate exactly vertical. Gate includes several carriyng mechanisms which make gate functional and the gate performs movement on these carriying mechanisms. Buttresses are fixed to the ground by steel anchors. Both cantilever gates and the buttresses are galvanized (60 micrometers) and then painted to black with yellow stripes. There is a "STOP" sign in the middle of the gate. All the designs of Optima are made by Finite Element Analysis according to K12 standards.

Crash rated sliding gates are designed for DOS K12 and PAS 68:2013 standarts (stop vehicles 7500 kg with a speed of 80km/hr). Standard gate height is 2.5 m, but OPTIMA designs and manufactures gates up to 3 m heights. There is not a standard length for sliding gates but clear passageway distance of the gates up to 10 m have already been designed and manufactured.
